The International Dysphagia Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) is a global initiative who have created a standardised system for identifying different textures of food and beverage for those with dysphagia, a condition characterised by swallowing difficulties. This framework, called the IDDSI Framework, is a tiered system that identifies levels of differently textured food and beverage with a standardised language and colour system.
