Adding and Formatting Text in Avery® Design & Print Online

Avery® Design & Print Online is an online application that enables you to quickly create and print on Avery products, without needing to download software. Next time you’re creating your conference materials, use Avery® Design & Print Online! Here’s the info you need to add and format all your critical information.

Step 1: Get Started

Instructions: Go to Avery Design & Print Online. Click on Create New Project to get started.

Step 2: Pick Your Product

  • On the Select Your Avery Product screen, either enter your desired software code in the Find Product Number or Description field, or navigate using the Select Category area
  • Once you've selected your product, click Next

Step 3: Select a Template

Instructions: You'll find a variety of templates to choose from. You can customise these as much or as little as you like. If you have a conference logo, you might like to start with a completely blank template. If you'd like to see the variety of templates Avery already offers, try a pre-designed template. It’s up to you!

Click on the template you want to use, then click Next.

Step 4: Start Adding Text

  • The Personalize Using the Design Canvas screen will open, and you will be able to see your template. This area is where you will insert images, enter text, edit text etc using the tools on the left hand side of the screen.
  • In the tools area, click on Add text
  • The text tools will be revealed and a text box will be added to your first panel
  • If you have ticked the Auto Fill box, the text box will be added to each panel. You'll find the Auto Fill box in the bottom left hand corner under View Options.

Step 5: Add and Format Your Text

  • Click inside the text box and start typing. You will see the text changing on the panel(s) to reflect your typing.
  • Use the Format Text area to apply fonts, size, paragraph alignment and colours
  • Only one set of formatting may be applied to a single text box. To use different formatting, follow step 4 again.

Step 6: Moving and Rotating Your Text

  • When you select the text box with your mouse, a grey box will appear around it
  • To move the text box, hold your mouse over the top or bottom sides. A cross with 4 arrows will appear. Hold down your mouse and move it to reposition the text box at the desired location.
  • To rotate the text box, click on the grey button that appears on the right hand side of the text box. Hold down your mouse and turn it to position the text at the desired angle.

Step 7: Completing Your Project

  • Use the other tools to add images and shapes
  • When you have finished designing your page, click Next to start printing. You will require Adobe® Reader 5 or later

Step 8: View Instructions and Print

Instructions: Before you print, we recommend that you click View Instructions first. When you're done, click Print Your Project. PDF file will open, ready for you to print. Use only Avery brand products for guaranteed results.

Step 9: Save

Instructions: You can save the PDF file and use it for future printing. If you'd like to be able to edit the file, make sure you save the Avery Design & Print Online file: return to Design & Print Online, click Next and then click the Save Your Project button. Your project will be saved in the Avery Design & Print Online format. This allows you to open and edit the project in the future using Avery Design & Print Online.
